Virgo Moon was started as a simple and sweet way to facilitate a deeper connection to oneself and the cosmos. I've been intrigued and nourished by the language of the planets and the harmony of the seasons for as long as I can remember. One of the first books I ever pulled off of my mother's shelf was Joanna Woolfolk's first edition "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" when I was about 7 years old. Since then, I've been collecting birthdays, observing behaviors, and taking notes.
I've always imagined myself working in medicine, going so far as earning a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology, but I could never shake my interest in astrology and plants. I began intuitively blending it all together - medicine, astrology, plants - until I discovered the disciplines of Medical Astrology and Astro-Herbalism - both of which originated in the lands of my Middle Eastern ancestors. My natural inclination towards astrology and plants, along with my science background, has provided me with a solid foundation for formulation, methodology and analysis. I have been formulating potions, remedies & cosmetics since 2012, and crafting confections since 2014.
I believe taking your medicine should be fun and delicious - I consider my candy to be the spoonful of sugar that helps the wisdom of the cosmos go down.
Every quarter, I donate a % of online candy sales to a non-profit organization in the state of Maine. The organizations I support vary - from harm reduction, LGBTQ+, and homelessness.
I would not be where I am if I had not known my young cousin, Jordan Haddad, my family friend, Kevin Dennis, my close friend, Ethel Georgakopoulos, and my ex-husband, Sasha Litovsky. All of these lives were casualties of the War on Drugs. Everything I do is done in their memory.
I hope my dedicated commitment to exploring the unknown and uncovering meaning, along with my natural skepticism and love for plants & sugar, provide you with comfort and a better understanding of navigating our Earthly experience.
