Today, Venus Rx catches up with the Sun and becomes the morning star. This is the beginning of a new Venus cycle.
Venus cycles begin at the inferior conjunction - when Venus is retrograde. The halfway point of this cycle - when Venus aligns once again with the Sun in itβs direct movement - will be on 10/22/2022 at 29Β° Libra.
This cycle will end & begin again on 8/13/2023 at 20Β° Leo when Venus is retrograde.

I love studying Venus cycles - they follow a 5 point pattern - if you map the 5 past Venus cycles on a chart & connect the dots, youβll draw a pentagram - a 5-pointed star.
Since 1985, the star has had points in the signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio & Capricorn.

This cycle begins a new pattern. Since 1926, one of the starβs points has been in Scorpio. But this cycleβs halfway point is at 29Β° Libra; the Sun & Venus have not met at this degree of Libra since 10/23/1771β¦and the last time the Sun & Venus aligned in Libra was on 9/23/1879 at 0Β°38β βοΈ. By 10/21/2034, the 5th point of the star will completely shift into Libra.
A shift in our values is occurring - we are beginning to prioritize equality & justice over intensity & coercion.

This Venus Cycle begins after the 2nd of the 3 Venus-Pluto conjunctions. Pluto is one of the planetary associations of Scorpio - so, it seems fitting that this cycle is also the first of the transition from Scorpio Cycles to Libra Cycles. A death to old values that were rooted in fear, paranoia, and obsessions with power & control. The beginning of new values that honor equality, grace, balance, art & partnership, especially in regards to our public images, careers, legacies and positions of authority.

I watched the new Disney movie, Encanto, today and it illuminated the theme of this Venus cycle quite well (and it had me sobbing.)Β *SPOILER ALERT*Β The magic associated with the family's legacy began to crumble & dissolve because the family's matriarch (which I felt represented the Pluto in Cancer generation) was obsessed with perfection - any family member that threatened this image was feared & ostracized. You see, everyone in the family had a gift, but not all gifts were respected - two family members, Mirabel & Bruno, had gifts that disrupted the family's status quo and as a result, they were ignored and treated differently from the others - mainly because their gifts directly threatened the family's foundation that was built by the matriarch. Well, eventually the family's home, where the magic originated, crumbled to the ground & it needed to be re-built on a stronger foundation that was inclusive & community-based. Power had to be re-distributed.Β Β

The last Venus cycle in Capricorn was back in January of 2014, when Saturn (the planetary ruler of Capricorn and thus the ruler of the cycle) was in Scorpio. Also, the North Node was in Scorpio. Though, as I've mentioned before, Venus Rx did not make contact with Pluto in 2014. We didn't have the opportunity to reevaluate our values & relationships within institutions that hold power and influence. We sort-of went head-first towards aligning ourselves with powerful organizations or families. I think we had to - we had to see what was there. We needed the first-hand experience so we knew exactly what needed to be changed.Β
This cycle is ruled by Saturn in Aquarius - who is sextile an Aries Moon/Chiron & square Uranus in Taurus. This is a new beginning of expressing our values towards success that will give us opportunities to heal our pioneering & assertive nature, but we will be challenged by resource disruption - this will force us to build more sustainable networks and take on collective responsibility. Our Capricorn values must be humane and care for all - it isn't just about who has the most money, power or influence anymore. It's about accessibility.Β
The next Venus cycle in Capricorn begins on 1/6/2030, when Saturn is in Taurus - Venus & Saturn will be in mutual reception. What is interesting about the 2030 cycle is that Jupiter will be at 21 degrees of Scorpio - that is where Saturn was located during the 2014 cycle - and Jupiter will be in opposition to Saturn. I'd imagine a major change to currency will be occurring by then. Perhaps crypto will be the dominating currency? The Jupiter-Saturn opposition of the 2030 cycle will be forming a fixed square with the nodal axis of Bitcoin (8/18/2008,) and the Mars-Moon conjunction in Aquarius will be conjunct Bitcoin's Aquarius North Node. It was in January 2014 when Bitcoin began to be accepted as currency in Las Vegas casinos and onΒ Overstock.com. Β
I'm not a financial astrologer - though, I'll admit, I have recently started trading - my partner has been introducing me to the stock market and I've been low-key keeping an eye on it as I also study the cosmic weather. I could see myself someday adding it to my consultation offerings. For now, it is just a hobby. But in my humble opinion, you may want to look into investments in crypto.
