Cosmic Weather: Astrology of March 28, 2022 to April 4, 2022

Monday, 3/28

  • Chiron sextile Ceres 12’05” 9:03 AM - Our wounds to our ability to move ahead is stimulating our needs for versatility in how we nourish and care for ourselves. Today and the days surrounding this transit may provide lessons or you may be exposed to information on how you can nurture your body and desires rationally so you can provide for yourself on a deeper level. This transit is exact when the Moon is at 21 degrees of Aquarius - the same current degree of Venus, Juno, and Saturn. There could be breaks or breakthroughs in relationships - needs and priorities are changing, and they may be coming in fast and they may feel severe and threatening to the image you may have built for yourself.  But transformation is necessary at this time - as we start becoming aware of what is important to us and what brings value to our lives, we become restricted and held back by everything that is in our lives that isn’t in alignment.

  • Venus conjunct Juno 21’28” 9:15 AM - Our needs within our partnerships and our needs for security are changing - we want resiliency, inclusiveness, progress, tolerance and tender awareness from those we commit and sacrifice for. Today may be a cold day for relationships - people are likely to have impersonal and out-of-touch responses to bids for intimacy. We’re all concentrating our energy towards a new vision and the community that can support us getting there. If you’re feeling detached and separated from others, reflect on how you could express yourself differently - what role do you play in the future? What could you begin to execute that will shock or enlighten others? How could you spend your time or money differently?

  • Venus conjunct Saturn 21’44” 3:27 PM - Intensification of values and responsibilities, especially pertaining within the larger collective. You may feel separated or alienated from others on this day. Perhaps lonely. We’re all feeling restricted in our abilities to show warmth and consideration. We’re concentrating on the position we can take within our relationships or finances to bring them to a place of achievement and success. There may be some disrupting obstacles or delays within relationships and finances. Finances could be tight. Though, also the possibility of establishing a liberating form of income - perhaps making a steady income with technology.

  • Saturn conjunct Juno 21’48” 5:42 AM - This is a brand-new Saturn-Juno cycle! The last time Saturn aligned with Juno was on January 10, 2017 in the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius. Since 2017, we have been concentrating our commitments and loyalties to partners and partnerships that can broaden our minds, who we see ourselves successfully growing and expanding beside, who can stabilize or sober our blind optimism. Though, we also experienced restrictions and limits in the growth of our partnerships and relating to others if an ethical belief system and worldview was not shared. This next Saturn-Juno cycle is beginning sandwiched between Mars and Venus in Aquarius - our commitments and loyalties to partners and partnerships are shifting towards those who can be objective and progressive in their goals - those who desire independence and compromise - those who are flexible and aware of the future direction of humanity and are actively moving towards it. We need partners who will commit to a long-term idealistic vision of radically prioritizing basic needs, comfort and security. We want partnerships that have a foundation in the future - that make us feel accepted for our individual needs…that don’t have limits to our self-expression. This is very important for all authority figures and elders to acknowledge - change is absolutely necessary - connect with the people that you are responsible for and discover what they need for success and prioritize giving it to them. Aquarius can be a sign of alienation…structures and institutions that are out-of-touch with the very real needs of the communities they manage, they will likely face rebellion, outrage and sudden departures. (Side note: Saturn and Juno have been initiating cycles in Fire and Air signs since October of 1980. Starting in November 2036, they will begin aligning in Earth and Water signs.)
  • Sun sextile Vesta 8’45” 7:26 AM

April's Moon Out-of-Bounds Dates:
April 5th (Gemini) - April 10th (Leo)

Thursday, April 1st:
Aries New Moon 11’31” 2:25 AM EDT
This is the first out of two New Moons occurring in April - the second is the Taurus Solar Eclipse happening on April 30th. This is the first New Moon of the Zodiacal Year, initiating the new growth of Spring. Whatever is sowed during this New Moon phase will be harvested come Libra Season - specifically at the Aries Full Moon on October 9th. This Moon phase is led by Mars, the planetary ruler of Aries, who is currently in the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius. Every New Moon is representative of a new beginning - a fresh cycle - and there is often a course of action that is initiated. When the Sun and Moon conjunct at the same degree of the same sign, we have a New Moon - the placements of the planets and the angles formed between them create archetypal dynamics that can be analyzed to form predictive interpretations for guidance and reflection throughout the Moon cycle. An Aries New Moon is the ultimate new beginning because Aries is the archetype of new beginnings and the energetics of Aries is similar to the conjunction aspect - we impulsively move forward, follow our instincts, and lead without fully knowing where we’re going. All we know is that we can’t go backwards - if we want to live, we must conquer our fears of the unknown and embark on a new frontier. During New Moons or conjunctions, there is a lot we don’t see, we’re instinctually responsive to our environments - we’re trying to see in the dark. It is only during the Full Moon that we shine our lights and become aware of all that we missed. The Full Moon provides the necessary checks and balances to our subjective growth and makes us aware of all that surrounds us.

Sunday, April 4th:

  • Mars conjunct Saturn 22’24” 9:51 PM EDT: A new Mars-Saturn cycle begins! The last time Mars and Saturn aligned was on March 31, 2020 at 0 degrees of Aquarius - shortly after the nation went into lockdown - initiating new management and organizations that were detached, different, advanced, progressive and very disruptive (to what we were used to at the time.) Interestingly enough, the Moon was in Cancer and it was conjunct the North Node - Cancer is associated with the home environment - and our movements became limited to our homes. This new cycle begins with the Moon at the final degree of Taurus, but still close to the 22’56” Taurus North Node - and the Moon is forming an exact square to Venus in Aquarius. Moon and Venus at the final degrees of Fixed Signs! Venus is important whenever we’re interpreting Aquarian energies because Uranus is in Taurus. Whenever Mars and Saturn align, we may be confronted with obstacles or delays to whatever it is we’re attempting to move toward or initiate. We are likely to feel frustrated, irritated, and even angry towards establishments, authority figures or the rules that are delaying our needs for immediate gratification. We may try to fight or push our way through, which isn’t likely to end very well for us and may result in severance of our positions within the institutions or organizations we’re a part of. Collective anger and dissent towards those in charge will be observed, no doubt. Our basic needs are being ignored, disrupted and the authority figures lack empathy for our situations - so we are responsible for our own survival and success - and we can do that by starting new goals and visions of success for ourselves that allow us to be flexible and free from external limits and controls. This conjunction will be square the Nodal Axis (all of the conjunctions in Aquarius this week were square the Nodal Axis, but this one is the closest to an exact square.) When planets square the nodal axis, there is a feeling of being pulled in two opposite directions - uncertain of which way to go. The more I look at this chart, the more I see the importance of forging a new path that has never been taken before - getting experimental with our aesthetics and ways of relating to others will be favored. Using more technology and advanced systems. Letting go of paranoia, fear of failure and those who restrict us from reaching our full potential is absolutely necessary these next two years.
