Astrological Weather March 2022

Moon out-of-bounds dates in March:
3/9 Gemini - 3/14 Leo
3/23 Sagittarius - 3/27 Aquarius

When a planet is out-of-bounds (OOB,) its expression is not being limited or restricted by the patriarchal Sun. Its liberated, eccentric, unusual...it is pushing against the preconceived boundaries of what has been deemed acceptable. When the Moon goes out-of-bounds, from a mundane perspective, the public and vulnerable populations around us are emotionally erratic.

Tuesday, 3/1
12 AM EST:

  • Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn; 2nd House
  • Mercury-Saturn-Moon conjunction in Aquarius; 3rd House
  • Sun-Jupiter-Neptune in Pisces; 3rd-4th Houses
  • Sun in 3rd sextile to Uranus in 6th

Wednesday, 3/2
Sun sextile Uranus 11’35” 12:05 AM

  • Our unitive consciousness is awakening to the future of the Earth. This sextile will be one of the major aspects of the Pisces New Moon occurring later on this day (it was also present in the Virgo Full Moon of 2021.) This transit is facilitating our intentions to be more compassionate to the Earth - of her resources and her people. We are being given the opportunity to liberate ourselves from old attachments to make way for the new structures that are coming. It may be revealed to us that the way to gain admiration for our selflessness and creative inspiration is by disrupting our conventions around material resources. Express yourself differently today...and make sure it is boldly ethereal.

Mercury conjunct Saturn 18’59” 11:32 AM

  • Seriously progressive/disruptive thinking + communications. Burdensome and challenging thought processes. A responsibility to speak up, write something, or do the mental work behind a goal that will bring you success. Mind is fixated on progressive analysis of network structures and authorities. Karmic communications. Dignified study of forms and order. You may be critical and fault-finding of progressive measures or technology. Watch for news about the Internet or humanitarian causes.

Uranus square Juno 11’37” 11:28 PM

  • Our partnerships are putting the pressure on us to liberate our connections to resources and our value systems. Though, Juno is in Aquarius, so it is looking to Uranus in Taurus for motivation on how to free ourselves…but they are in a square to one another…so Uranus is throwing the challenge back at Juno. We may feel restricted or like things are failing in how we are relating to one another, causing nervousness and agitation, and we may cling stubbornly to our perspective.

Pisces New Moon 12’07” 12:35 PM

  • Sun & Moon align in Pisces, initiating a new cycle of emotional growth and awareness towards suffering, escapism, compassion, dreams, inspiration
  • This New Moon will be conjunct Jupiter in Pisces - big opportunities this cycle (and day) to feel hopeful, enthusiastic about the future, expand beyond our previously perceived boundaries.
  • Though, we may also become overwhelmed by it all - Pisces needs solitude for inspiration - if you become overwhelmed, turn off. Turn off notifications, spend time alone, put on noise canceling headphones, go to bed earlier (sleep in a little bit more if possible.) Be mindful with substances! I have a lot of hope for this new moon, but I also feel like there are so many of us who are suffering and will look for ways to escape from the work. Mercury will be conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, so we may feel burdened by heavy thoughts, community regulations, the new advances we need to make towards our goals. Try to take it slow. You cannot do it all at once. Don’t even bother trying to multitask (it isn’t even possible anyways, so why kid yourself.) Set your mind on a goal, gather your resources and your connections that will help you accomplish it, and isolate.
  • Stay aware of people trying to deceive you with their exaggerated helplessness. They may throw you completely off track. The Piscean urge to identify with victims may have us identifying with those who are committed to their self-destruction. The best thing you can do for the world is to strive to be a better human, to spread kindness (not niceness, which upholds oppression and disguises it as a virtue,) and take accountability & responsibility for our positions.
  • Mercury conjunct Saturn in Aquarius - Think hard about what you contribute to your community. Make a plan to improve your connections and your future visions. Follow through with it.

Thursday, 3/3
Mars conjunct Pluto 27’50” 3:43 AM

  • The last time Mars and Pluto made a conjunction with one another was on March 23, 2020 at 24’43” - at that time, they were not alone. Jupiter in Capricorn was a degree behind them.
  • March 23, 2020 - if you recall, this is the date when states began amping up lockdown orders. I believe this is the date of when Maine issued their lockdown order.
  • Mars and Pluto are both associated with force, though in different ways - Mars is direct force, associated with movement and action, and Pluto is associated with concentration of psychological forces that can reveal projections, fears, and manipulation. Jupiter is associated with foresight, spread, speculation, and ethics.
  • Since March of 2020, our collective Mars-Pluto expression - how we initiated our psychological forces into action, has been connected to our expansion and worldviews. We made movements to restore hope within our structures & institutions and took guidance from those who have powerful insight to survival (higher manifestation,) or we may have started to go down dark rabbit holes and made choices that reflected our presumptuous paranoia and self-righteousness…possibly attempting to seize control of wise counsel, thinking we know what is best for ourselves (lower manifestation.) I’m sure most of us fell somewhere in between.
  • This conjunction is, once again, not alone. Venus is now present alongside this conjunction and will be making its own conjunction (the 3rd and final) to Pluto later on. Also, Vesta is a degree behind.
  • Venus and Jupiter are both considered to be “benefic” planets because they can both bring good fortune (depending on how they are utilized, of course.) However, Mars and Pluto can be considered to be malefic planets - they have the potential to bring misfortune.
  • A Mars-Pluto conjunction can be quite destructive - Mars is the planet associated with immediate gratification, so there may be something or someone you want to possess (Venus) and you may use both physical and psychological force to obtain it. When Mars & Pluto are together, the unconscious material is driving you - the unhealed wounds, the dark corners of the mind, the paranoia - the expression will vary from person to person - some of us have acknowledged and integrated our darkness (repressed memories) and some of us fear it.
  • Pay attention to how you are using your energy in relation to others - you may even become fixated on one person in particular and may project the pain and anguish you have yet to integrate onto them. Pay attention to how others are treating you - are they being too forceful? Are they crossing boundaries?
  • This could be a time of incredible healing within relationships, especially if both parties are willing to sit through the discomfort that comes with shadow work.
  • Things could start off REALLY ugly - try to see if you can sit through the unpleasant bits - be a bit more patient with people because they are likely to be frustrated and in a lot of pain. The more you can be accepting of another’s expression of pain, the stronger the bond. But also, you don’t need to be patient. You can pick and choose who you believe deserves your patience.

Venus conjunct Pluto 27’51” 12:56 PM

  • This is the 3rd and final conjunction between Venus and Pluto
  • First conjunction: December 11, 2021
  • Second conjunction (when Venus was Rx): December 25, 2021
  • Venus in Capricorn is all about establishing herself the long + hard way because she wants to have mastery over her priorities and energy. She puts time + energy into the relationships that help her reach her position of authority. She isn’t about shortcuts because she knows shortcuts lead to temporary success, and she wants success that will stand the test of time.
  • When she meets with the Lord of the Underworld, Pluto, it's time to eliminate those relationships or values that are toxic. Look to your Capricorn house(s) for further insight into what needs healing. There may be a powerful change within your position in your relationships or your position in the public scene. You may uncover corruption within your relationships or values. There may be an extreme transition of power in your finances or values. Opportunity always presents itself when you take the time to shed what you don’t need.
  • What have you learned about the power dynamics within your relationships since December? What have you learned about finances?

Saturday, 3/5
Sun conjunct Jupiter 14’58” 9:06 AM - Big dreams…or big sadness? Jupiter wants to expand and find opportunity for growth/hope…the Sun wants to shine and be admired…and while in Pisces, they both need to do it in a way that transcends reality and dissolves boundaries. This is truly an opportunity for imagining the infinite possibilities of your intentions and creative abilities; though, on the other hand, it could also lead to feelings of overwhelm. If you struggle with uncertainty, or if you require a firm grounding in order to feel hopeful - you’ll likely struggle with this transit. Allow yourself to go with the flow - maybe do some stretching or flowy movement - you may be too stiff from this Venus & Mars in Capricorn transit. Give yourself some space to just be alone with your creative juices. Expand your compassion. Forgive yourself and others.

Sunday, 3/6
Mars enters Aquarius 1:22 AM - Drive for liberation, innovation, humanitarian causes, the future. Cutting through groupthink, igniting the masses to an awakening, asserting ourselves towards those who share common passions, fighting for equity, starting new tech/futuristic endeavors, aggression towards progressives/revolutionaries, inflamed youth
Venus enters Aquarius 1:29 AM - Attraction towards innovation, change, the future of humanity, rebellion. Negotiating for progressive cooperation. Wanting to possess unconventional art/design/people.
Venus conjunct Mars 0’02” 2:12 AM - The second Venus-Mars conjunction of 2022. The first one was on 2/16 at 16 degrees Capricorn.

  • Arousal of dissent. Heated communications within relationships. New physical relationships that share common visions of the future. Initiating new & experimental artistic expressions that are immediately gratifying. Strong will towards others. Make love, dance, move your body in harmony with another. Initiating action towards securing comfort and relationships that are progressive, unconventional, experimental, technical, resilient, revolutionary, disruptive

Pluto conjunct Vesta 27’55” 5:56 AM - Transforming our focus and commitment. Complete focus and concentration on execution of plans that will lead to success. Obsession with focusing on the rules and regulations - our psychological wills may be single minded and preoccupied with our sense of duty to our positions of excellence, that we sacrifice other commitments.
Mercury square Nodal Axis 24’52” 12:02 PM

  • Our thought processes have reached a crossroads - we may want to leap forward onto our future path, but we have left something in the past that requires integration. There may be visions of our past positions where we felt powerless and overcome with fear; because Mercury is in Aquarius, we may be able to remain detached to the triggers, or we may dissociate and become numb. The Moon will be in Taurus at this time, moving close to a conjunction with Uranus, so it is likely we will be observant of our emotional responses and perhaps not entirely present. Try to find some acceptance of the past - forgive yourself for your previously limited perspective. We always have the ability to change, especially when we give ourselves the opportunity of broadening our awareness and making connections.

3/9-3/15
Wednesday, 3/9
Mercury enters Pisces 8:32 PM - Spiritual, compassionate, imaginative, dreamy, spacey, illogical, escapist, transcendent thought processes/communications/media/learning/students/rituals. It’s my Mercury Return! (Ok, well, not quite yet, but soon!) Mercury’s least favorite place to be is likely in the sign of Pisces. Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini and Virgo, arguably the two most cerebral and logical signs of the zodiac, and Pisces is far away from either of those descriptions. This is your yearly opportunity to think in symbols, to confuse your dreams with reality, to communicate telepathically, and to learn a spiritual practice.

  • Since there are so many planets currently in Pisces - Sun, Jupiter and Neptune - the addition of Mercury only amps up the likelihood of deception, delusions, escapist behaviors and spiritual bypassing.
  • I highly recommend taking the time to familiarize yourself with what spiritual bypassing is. I’m very Piscean, and I have had issues throughout my life with delusions and psychosis, usually resulting from periods of extreme stress or instability…during these times, I would cope by spiritually bypassing and dissociating - I’m very good at it! But it has not been very good to me! After these periods, I’m usually shocked at just how much I allowed myself to slide away and dissolve…finances, relationships, health, career…all have been sacrificed while tending to my delusions and falling for deceptions. I try to remind myself of the symptoms of spiritual bypassing a couple of times a year.

Thursday, 3/10
Vesta enters Aquarius 1:18 PM: The goddess asteroid Vesta is associated with our focus and commitment to our work. The archetypal dynamics are a blend between Cancer and Virgo. Vesta was last in Aquarius from December 1, 2018 to February 1, 2019. When Vesta is in the sign of FIXED AIR, the collective becomes focused on work that is liberating and progressive. This may be a period of time (until May 24, 2022) where we can hyper focus on our future vision and do work that breaks the mold. There may be issues with authority figures and alienation.

  • In 2018, Vesta in Aquarius was motivated by Uranus in Aries (at the 29th/critical degree.) The chain of energy was: Vesta -> Uranus -> Mars in Pisces -> Neptune in Pisces. The revolutionary work we were committing ourselves to was motivated by our needs for fierce independence and movements that were spiritual and escapist.
  • This Vesta in Aquarius transit is motivated by Uranus in Taurus. The chain of energy is: Vesta -> Uranus <-> Venus in Aquarius. Now that Uranus is in Taurus, we are hyper focused on disrupting our value systems, finances and relationships.

Sunday, 3/13 *Daylight Savings Time Begins*
Sun conjunct Neptune 22’52” 7:42 AM: New Sun/Neptune synodic cycle.

  • Glamorous intentions. Forgiving performances. Spiritual recreation. Poetic expressions. Collapsing will. Delusional decisions. Distorted self-image. There may be issues today with expressing yourself clearly. There is a blurring of personal boundaries and an urge to melt into surroundings. This conjunction is occurring so close to Jupiter, who is at 16 degrees of Pisces, so it may involve opportunities for growth and expansion. You may deceive or betray yourself in your pursuit of expansion, though it would be very hard to tell! You likely won’t know until Virgo season, when the Sun forms an opposition to Neptune (September 16th.) There may also be issues relating to your body or appearance - if you struggle with body dysmorphia, stay aware of today’s affects on your psyche.  Though, the opposite is also possible - you may glamorize your connection with your body. You may also have issues with overdoing it, especially when it comes to substances and food. Jupiter governs over the liver and when Jupiter is in Pisces, we may unconsciously consume substances that interfere with the functioning of our livers.

Monday, 3/14
Sun sextile North Node 24’30” 10 PM

  • An opportunity to set our intentions towards a path of valuing our needs and worth. Accept the growth that is being offered to you today!

3/16-3/22
Wednesday, 3/16
Chiron conjunct Pallas Athene 11’24” Aries 12:04 PM: The wounded teacher aligns with their niephling, Pallas Athene, the great military strategist. Our perceptions are getting a dose of cosmic medicine today. Chiron in Aries is the wounded teacher providing you with lessons on how to assert yourself forward and follow your instincts, and Pallas Athene in Aries is the creator of bold new plans that will lead to independent victory. Collectively, we’re beginning to see the game plan we must follow to heal our automatic impulses to instability and change within our resources and relationships. The way we have been pushing ourselves forward has lacked connection and authenticity - perhaps it is because we’re working alongside others who don’t share similar visions of the future - maybe you don’t feel respected, valued, or nourished by them. What can you do? Point your energy towards the future and towards relationships that honor your individuality and feed you inspiration.

  • This may be a difficult day - the Moon is in Virgo and will be opposing its ruler, Mercury in Pisces - so we are likely to feel conflicted with our feelings - we want to do what is logical and what will improve our situations, but we’re having difficulty with making sense of it all and may need some space to figure things out. We’re two days away from the Virgo Full Moon and tensions are running high - remember that sometimes the most useful thing you can do is nothing at all. Give yourself a break. Give yourself time to sort out everything that is happening - you don’t need to immediately respond, especially to those who are committed to disregarding your boundaries. Be very discerning about who you are tending to - choose your relationships wisely.

Thursday, 3/17
Mercury sextile Uranus 12’12” 8:13 AM - Material liberation awakens imaginative problem solving. This transit is highly cerebrally stimulating. It is likely you will feel like socializing, specifically with new or different people who share a similar vision of the future as you do. Information exchange that is awakening and revelatory.

Friday, 3/18
Virgo Full Moon 27’40” 3:18 AM

  • Every dream that you wish to bring to reality requires structure, discipline and attention to detail. This Pisces season, we have been floating between worlds, amping up our imaginations, and indulging in delicate moments of breathtaking beauty and magic. This Virgo Full Moon opposes the Sun, Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury in Pisces - reminding us of the little details we glossed over in our pursuit of transcending duality. Pisces needs unity and forgiveness, but Virgo needs discernment and improvement. You can have compassion for the world and everyone in it, you can forgive everyone for their humanness, but you still need to have some semblance of order. Imagine a friend who is always apologizing for their absent minded behavior that has had a direct effect on you and your security; the first few times you may forgive them, you’re accepting of their humanness, you know mistakes happen…but then it keeps happening. You keep trying to forgive, but it gets harder each time…you may start to question the relationship - does this person really value our connection? Do they respect the energy I invest into our friendship? Do they see the work - the little details - that I contribute regularly? Will they ever become aware of their behavior and make a conscious decision to improve it?
  • We’re human, and we have empathy for others, especially those closest to us, but too much empathy can actually be detrimental to our well-being. When we are continually exposed to the suffering of others, we can lose our connection to our bodies and what they need for proper functioning - sleep, healthy eating habits, exercise, maintenance - and become numb, irritable, and self-sabotage. This overuse of our ability to feel the pain of others is referred to as “compassion fatigue.”
  • I’ve experienced compassion fatigue multiple times in my adult life - the first two times I was completely unaware of what was happening to me physically and mentally. I had always identified as someone who could be present and charitable towards those in need - I felt like it was a gift to be capable of feeling another’s pain. Until that gift began feeling like a burden…I started feeling like I was the dumping grounds for everyone close to me and I became resentful, especially towards individuals who dumped the most onto me. I kept trying to move ahead and put energy towards the future I wanted for myself, but as soon as someone close to me had a crisis, it became my crisis as well, and my personal goals would dissolve.
  • It is beautiful to have empathy and love for others, to hold space and provide nourishment to them when they are unable to do so for themselves, but if you leave yourself wide open and continually sacrifice your well-being and what is important to you so you can help others, your life will dissolve. And if every security you have floats away, you’ll be left frantically begging for a lifejacket, unable to help anyone, much less yourself.
  • In the US, we are reliant on our (technological?) connections for emotional fulfillment - this country signed it’s Declaration of Independence while the transiting Moon was in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemini - so maintaining strong lines is vital to feeling close and accepted - we want to feel connected to everyone and capable of providing indiscriminate aid. And sometimes we can fulfill those needs. Though, currently, we’re experiencing a global crisis - millions, if not billions, are struggling to survive in one way or another - financially, mentally, physically - people have lost homes, relationships, their countries. Millions are displaced or facing war. Prejudices, racism, hate, greed are fueling disharmony and disconnection. We’re becoming acutely aware of microaggressions, systemic inequalities, inherited trauma. A decade ago, most of us didn’t have the language to describe the nuances of discomfort, oppression and trauma - these days, you can probably discuss the signs of gaslighting with your cashier at the supermarket. So, we’re quickly expanding our awareness of the human experience and how we’re all connected, but we’re also facing daily challenges to our own survival. Some of us may feel paralyzed by our own limitations in helping the world. You cannot donate to every charity or GoFundMe. You cannot volunteer at every shelter. You cannot help everyone. It is impossible.
  • So what can we do when we feel overwhelmed by suffering and lack the time, resources and emotional capacity needed to help? We can work on ourselves. We can prioritize our routines. We can improve our situations so that one day we may have the capacity to help improve another’s. We must learn how to forgive ourselves for not being able to be everything to everyone.
  • Sure, there are cases where you must be everything to someone - like, newborns - but even a newborn has a body with automatic processes - a guardian doesn’t swallow the food for their baby, they don’t sleep for the baby, they don’t digest & eliminate waste for the baby. (But they are responsible for following sleep/food/changing schedules.)
  • My point is that we really have much less control over the well-being of others than we may acknowledge. And giving all of our creative inspiration, dreams and compassion away to others isn’t guaranteed to help them, but it will drain you.

Venus sextile Chiron 11’31” 12:24 PM - Your relationships can awaken you to where you’re in need of some healing. Remain open to the perspectives of others - they can see how you may sabotage yourself from pursuing your goals.

Sun sextile Pluto 28’11” 3:37 PM - Intense discipline stimulates inspirational creative expression. Today you will likely have a powerful stirring within you to impress and seek validation of your talents. The Sun is the active agent for creative self-expression, recreation, validation, and admiration, and Pluto is the active agent for empowerment, integration, transformation, and elimination. When these two celestial bodies make contact, there is a bridge between how we’re seeking validation and how we’re seeking power. The sextile aspect is mentally stimulating, exciting, and arousing to the psyche. There is information being exchanged and growth in awareness. A sextile between the Sun and Pluto, considering they are the planetary rulers of Leo and Scorpio, respectively, signs that form a natural square to one another, this aspect can be comparative to a mental eruption. You are likely to think defensively of your identity and status, and express it in a way that probes and penetrates the psyches of others, likely those in your immediate environment or who you communicate with on a regular basis. With the Sun being in the sign of Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn, there may be deceptive or paradoxical intentions that are coming from a fear of losing control. The best use of this energy is to choose compassion and eliminate perfectionism when putting yourself out there. No need to be vague or secretive about your process, everyone is human, no one, that I’m aware of, is a super human.

  • Though, it is likely that you may learn something about your personal power today and use it to your advantage - just don’t use it in a way that may intellectually hurt others. Be confident in your rebirth without haven’t to intimate/demean/manipulate others.

Saturday, 3/19
Venus square Uranus 12’17” 7:16 AM - Disruption, excitement, stimulation within relationships or with finances. A love of novelty will be especially heightened. New relationships and experiences are likely. You may try a new artistic medium or feel inspired to try something different and unusual. This is one of my personal favorite transits. There’s always something exciting I end up doing on these days, and with everything else that is going on - Sun sextile Pluto, Venus sextile Chiron, Mercury sextile Uranus - there is so much opportunity to show exciting sides of your personality and connect with those who are sparked by it.

Sunday, 3/20
Sun enters Aries 11:33 AM - Welcome to the beginning of the zodiacal year and spring! Aries Season brings beginnings, initiations, and an urge for new experiences and adventure. The snow has (or will be thawed) and the time is now to begin sowing seeds (inside if you’re in Maine.) Our creative self-expressions are now willful and spirited. We’re seeking approval through creating new enterprises and pioneering intentions. We’re boldly defending our independence and right to be ourselves without any restraints or restrictions.

Monday, 3/21
Mercury conjunct Jupiter 18’45” 2:06 AM -
Mars sextile Chiron 11’42” 4:59 PM

Tuesday, 3/22
Mars square Uranus 12’26” 4:43 PM

3/23-3/30
Wednesday, 3/23
Mercury conjunct Neptune 23’16” 1:43 PM - Forgiveness, Sacrifice, Surrender, Transcendence, and Compassion intensified. There is a strong likelihood for confusion and anxiety. Both Uranus and Neptune govern anxiety related issues, though in different ways - Uranus is the anxiety you get when your mind is racing too fast and it may be expressed erratically and chaotically. Neptune is the anxiety you get when you’re overwhelmed with emotions, guilt, and delusions and it may be expressed in a depressive or psychotic way.

Saturday, 3/26
Mercury sextile Pluto 6:34 AM - Intense discipline and concentration stimulating elusive and ethereal ideas. Our minds are blissfully penetrating conditioning and the status quo. Your brain is trying to heal it’s wiring to past events. This transit will be felt all day, and it will provide you with laser focus and powerful insights. Just try not to obsess over one thought or idea. Pluto and Mercury together can result in overactive thoughts. Your thoughts and communications can spark powerful transformations today.

Sunday, 3/27
Mercury enters Aries 3:44 AM - We’ve had our time to reflect and rest our minds (hopefully…!) and now we’re getting a mental boost. Mercury in Aries thinks about new frontiers, communicates passionately and decisively, learns through movement and embodiment, jumps head first to solve problems, and needs information that is direct + simple. Mercury in Aries can also be argumentative, demanding, blunt, and arrogant in communications - be mindful of your headspace and the headspace of others b/c people might be wanting to fight over the most ridiculous and silly things.

Monday, 3/28
Chiron sextile Ceres 12’05” 9:03 AM
Venus conjunct Juno 21’28” 9:15 AM
Venus conjunct Saturn 21’44” 3:27 PM - Intensification of values and responsibilities, especially pertaining within the larger collective. You may feel separated or alienated from others on this day. Perhaps lonely. We’re all feeling restricted in our abilities to show warmth and consideration. We’re concentrating on the position we can take within our relationships or finances to bring them to a place of achievement and success. There may be some disrupting obstacles or delays within relationships and finances.

Tuesday, 3/29
Saturn conjunct Juno 21’48” 5:42 AM
Sun sextile Vesta 8’45” 7:26 AM
